20 days until senior year starts.

And 30 days until the deadline of the UP application forms. Mine is hiding under some old papers and is still blank. I’m running out of days, and I still haven’t decided on what course to take. Mom’s not helping, really— she’s discouraging me on both courses, and it’s solely up to me to decide which one to take. She also told me to just list down what I like and base my decision from there. So I’m going to make a list here because (1) I’m too lazy to get a sheet of paper and a pen, (2) I would be wasting paper and (3) I just don’t want to face the crappiness of my handwriting.

So, let’s get to business.

I like current events.
I like talking about current events.
I like debates.
I like politics.
I like talking about politics.
I like writing.
I like talking a lot.
I like defending stuff.
And that’s all I could think of right now. So if I were to sort it, it would be like this:

I like current events. - Journalism
I like talking about current events. - Journalism
I like debates. -Um. I’m not really sure about this.
I like politics. - PolSci.
I like talking about politics. - Um. Both, I think?
I like writing. - Journalism
I like talking a lot. - Journalism
I like defending stuff. - I don’t know about this one either.
So Journalism wins by number. But I don’t know, mom says it really isn’t practical, but she was saying that there are a lot of job openings for people who have a Journalism degree. But in PolSci, politics are discussed and I don’t think I’ll ever be bored with that. My only problem is all the memorization needed and I’m not really sure what my job could be afterwards, all I know is that it would be a nice Pre-law course.

So basically, I’m stuck between the two of them. Opinions?
