PBB2 Josef: The Lethal Lassalite

Having a musician dad and a manager mom who works for Premiere Genesis Entertainment talents, Josef was definitely destined to be in showbiz. He has appeared in various print ads and TV commercials, though these have caused him feeling more frustrated than having a sense of achievement. On his first print ad, only his nape was shown, while his second project which was a TV commercial was only aired in the US.But now Josef is one of the faces seen on the recent Jack N Jill Chippy commercial.

At 16, Josef already has had five girlfriends. Blessed with mestizo good looks and charisma, it seems unlikely that one of his girlfriends didn't take the relationship with him seriously. Perhaps this could be blamed on the way he takes things on his own cool, casual style, typical of one who has everyone at his beck and call.

Josef is excited to meet the other housemates for he enjoys getting to know other people. Will Josef learn how to be a more responsible young man and find a sense of achievement from his fellow teens while inside the house of Big Brother?

PBB2 Robi: The True Blue Atenean

Being a housemate, Robi has to forego his high school graduation – and the chance to receive his award for excellence personally. Living up to being a man for others, though, he considers the chance to be a housemate a worthy compromise, not because it may be a claim to fame but as an opportunity to be a good influence to others.Aiming high, he hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue a career in medicine. A member of the baseball varsity and the honor roll as well, it seems all is set for Robi. One thing he can’t seem to get the hang of, unfortunately, is his love life. He got dumped both times he tried courting a girl, though he’s really persistent in pursuing the second. Too bad they don’t teach Courtship (Anti-torpe) 101 in high school.

As he enters the PBB house, Robi has very positive thoughts on today’s youth. He perceives them to be well-rounded individuals, versatile and willing to try out a variety of things. He carries the same attitude towards his housemates, believing the best of them as he looks forward to hanging out with them despite the varied interests. Having the Atenean school spirit, will he still be able to think the same way when he lives in close quarters with someone from a rival school? Is he truly the good trophy boy that he seems to be? Will Kuya teach a summer course on courtship inside the yellow house? And will he have a summer love to boot?

PBB2 Preiscilla: The Deaf Dreamer

Priscilla faced great tragedies early in her life: her father was murdered when she was six, and she lost her hearing when she was 11.But instead of giving up, this young girl struggled to overcome these challenges to enjoy life like any regular teenager.Living with her disability taught her the skill to read other people's lips, enabling her to communicate with her family and friends more conveniently.Given her determination and optimism, she bagged the first runner up title in the Miss Teen International 2007, proving to all that imperfection is not part of her vocabulary.

Priscilla is optimistic that the other housemates will enjoy her company and she’d probably share her interest in writing fiction and poems. She’d openly reveal her passion for dancing, her craze over Lobo, even her dream of owning a house in Manila but the other HMs will definitely have to use force to make her say a word about her love life.

Will Priscilla survive the chaotic world of PBB Teen Edition Plus?

PBB2 Valerie: The Dazzling Doll

Born to a German chief cook father and a Filipina kitchen assistant mother, Valerie describes herself as the European Girl with a Filipina heart. Valerie confesses that she gets hurt whenever she hears people speak awful things about Filipinos and half-Pinoys like her and because of this, she is more comfortable hanging out with half-Pinays like her in Weisbaden. Although loves spending time with her friends, she also confesses that she enjoys the solace of her room where she would often watch Maging Sino Ka Man and Lobo on The Filipino Channel.

Valerie's lowest time in her life came when her beloved father passed away. She found it hard to move on and eventually went into a depression and neglected her studies. With Pinoy Big Brother giving her a new chance at life, this Barbie Doll hopes to find a new home in the Philippines and jumpstart her career as a successful actress who can speak very good Tagalog.

PBB2 Jolas: The Gentle Giant

This 6'4 teenage hunk learned to play ball when he was in the second grade with kids older than him in a half court near his home. Playing basketball was a natural thing for him to get into since his dad was also a basketball player in his youth. Growing faster than most of his peers, he was already playing for the baranggay teams at 12. And at age 16, he was already 6 feet tall. But despite his success in the court, Jolas had several setbacks in school and took his sophomore year thrice. The first two times, computer games got in the way of school; the third time was a special requirement for his scholarship as a varsity player at the FEUHigh School. Yet, Jolas never gave up and learned his lesson well. As Captain Ball of the FEU Team in his senior year, he brought his team all the way to the championship Finals. He also now has concrete plans for the future: Jolas is aiming for a scholarship in a university and finish a degree in Sports Science. After pursuing a basketball career (or even simultaneously), maybe he could try out for a modeling or acting career.

Far from being a delinquent, Jolas keeps in mind some tidbits of wisdom: Think twice, ‘wag basta-basta, kailangan matiyaga. Will he be able to hang on to these life lessons in dealing with Kuya’s tasks? Will his being a joker help him in establishing closer relationships with the other housemates?

PBB2 Beauty: The Rebellious Beauty

Beauty is a known sugarcane princess, coming from a family of landed hacienderos in Negros. With doting parents and nannies to do everything for her, she is pretty much used to people around her giving in to all her whims. But despite of this, Beauty learned early in life the value of having principles, and this belief of hers has already gotten her into catfights in school. After a controversial brawl in defense of her own reputation, Beauty was prevented from joining her graduation march as imposed by the officers of her school.

Beauty admits to being vain and is very conscious of her looks even at a very young age. But she hopes that the other housemates would look beyond this characteristic of hers for she is also very friendly, a “loka-loka” and easy to get along with.

PBB2 Jieriel: The Bubbly Girl

Forever the bubbly girl, Jieriel is the life of any party. She loves to laugh with people and have fun. She alternates between dreaming to be a fairy and being Superwoman in the same way that she balances childhood and adolescence. She is optimistic about forging relationships with the other housemates, flexible and eager to get to know those around her. Her strong personality allows her to surpass the initial awkwardness and makes her take that first step. This sense of security and sense of self can be credited to her father Gerry, who took care of her while her mom was working in the Middle East as a nurse. A Papa's Girl, she disregards the fact that he isn’t her biological father, proving that familial bonds are indeed not limited to genetics. Jieriel's good nature is expected to bring cheer to her teen housemates, yet will she be able to keep her good nature when her Papa is not around to boost her spirits?

PBB2 Rona: The Prisoner's Daughter

A beauty titlist and a debate champion, Rona is indeed the ultimate “beauty and brain” package. But behind the face of an achiever lies a sad story: Rona's father is in prison and is still awaiting the court's decision over his case. Rona however doesn't let this problem stop her from living a happy life. With the help of her loving mother and sisters, this young lady continues to work hard to achieve her goal of becoming a lawyer someday.

Rona knows she’ll get along just fine with the other housemates for she believes that she’s an open minded sort of kid. In fact her friends call her a social butterfly for she easily gets along with anyone in her school. Rona knows too, that at her young age, she can already make a difference in today’s world by doing simple things like making wise decisions and doing what is right. As Rona gets locked up inside Kuya's house, she aims to prove her worth to the country and to the world.

PBB2 Alex: Italianong Valentino

Though his mother has brought him home to the Philippines only once – and that was way back when he was four years old – Alex is no stranger to the ways and culture of the Filipino. Aside from knowing basic Filipino, an example of this is his great regard for family. He looks up to his brother John and has a tight bond with his mom, Minda. He is also eager to go back to his roots and surprise his maternal lola and other relatives in Lucena. Alex is affectionate, caring and funny towards his family. Truly Filipino, he will move heaven and earth for his family and he hopes to give them a better life someday. And yet, despite the fact that Italian is not his best subject, one cannot take the Italian out of Alex. He has made quite a name for himself as a soccer player who has been written about in local papers. As he enters the PBB house, will Alex be able to overcome the language barrier and be able to communicate with the rest of the housemates? With him being naturally reserved towards strangers, will he be able to warm up to them soon enough and give them a glimpse of his funny side?

PBB2 Nan: Junior Kenkoy

Nan is the happy boy who seemingly refuses to grow old. This happy-go-lucky outlook comes with a lot of downsides, though. His normal day would mean lazy time in school, hanging out with friends and playing billiards in their small town billiard hall. At home he wouldn't lift a finger; in fact he barely knows any household chore. Being the eldest in the family, he is expected to help his mother especially during these times that his seaman father is aboard the ship working out of the country. However, to get Nan to work, his mother would either hit him with a slipper or chase him until he runs out of the house.

What Nan lacks in doing household chores and getting good grades, he makes up with care and affection for his family. Nan hopes to follow the footsteps of his father and become a seaman someday. Entering PBB is a step towards reaching that dream. Nan would like to be positive about the other housemates, banking on his being friendly. He anticipates the chaos and disorder, though, chalking it up to being teens and as such, “maraming trip”. How will Junior Kengkoy fair in the yellow house? Will he try the patience of the other housemates and Kuya? Or, will he emerge a man better equipped to reach his big dream?

PBB2 Linda: The Bikini Babe

Linda grew up as daddy's little girl, but she took it as her biggest failure when she failed to persuade her Swedish father to stay longer in the Philippines. However, all hope for her is not lost because she still communicates with her dad regularly through chat and phone calls.

Her Filipino-Swedish beauty has been her golden ticket into winning several pageants.Linda has joined several bikini contests including the prestigious Bikini Open, and she has recently been crowned Ms. Camarines Sur.For her, beauty pageants are like child's play, and with her height and charm, she easily catches the approving eyes of the judges and the audience. Although she will miss turning over her Ms. Cam Sur crown this summer, Linda is raring to go and prove her worth inside the Big Brother house.

PBB2 Nicole: The In-Chick

Nikki is not your typical hyper-active and expressive teen. At a young age, she has learned to take hold of her emotions and control her actions (read: prim and proper). Very in character for the daughter of a Chinese businessman, who has led a sheltered and comfortable life thus far. The biggest problem she’s had was the initial disapproval of her family towards her chosen guy, but even that is now resolved and all is right in her world. Everything is quite perfect for this little miss: a good life, a supportive family, and a blooming love life. Nikki thinks she’ll be able to get along quite well with the other housemates, as long as there are no plastic people in the group. Once you get past her shy and quiet demeanor, Nikki is friendly and ready to take on tasks and adventures. It is interesting to see how Nikki will be able to deal with the diverse personalities of the housemates. Will she still be able to keep her cool? How will Nikki cope with the simpler life in Kuya’s house? Moreover, will her young love stand the test of time and distance, especially with a number of cute boys in close proximity?

PBB2 Kevin: The Spanish Stallion

Kevin lives up to PBB’s “Dream Big” tagline. Unlike other teens his age, Kevin spends more time with horses than going out with friends. This is because he has his eyes set on making it big in the Olympics, and has been preparing for it for a long time now. He looks up to Brazilian equestrian Rodrigo Pessoa, the youngest show jumping world champion and winner of both the Olympics and World Cup, and Kevin dreams to follow in his idol’s footsteps. Although his parents are separated, he still manages to make the most of what is given him as they make ends meet to support his dream. He lives with his mom and two brothers and squeezes time with his dad’s family on weekends. His dad trained him on horses, and it is this passion that remains their strongest bond.

Kevin looks forward to meeting his paternal relatives in Iloilo soon, and to continue exploring what Manila has to offer. To show how in tune he is with his roots, his future horse already has a name: Manila. So far, he has visited Intramuros and shopped in Greenhills but for the meantime, though, these big plans are on temporary hold as he enters the PBB house. He looks forward to meeting the other housemates and, as he generally gets along with different people, has no qualms about the variety of personalities. Will his athletic background serve him well in performing Kuya’s tasks? What other opportunities will offer themselves to this mestizo equestrian?

PBB2 Ejay: The Promdie Hottie

At first glance, Ejay doesn't look the typical promdi for he moves in a smooth and urbane manner. But as one gets to know him, the truth about his hometown begins to show, not that he tries to hide it. This shy lad from Oriental Mindoro speaks with straight and clear Tagalog, with a taint of Mindorenyo and a Visayan accent. Ejay grew up in the island of Pola where there is a scarcity of water and electricity, and watching TV Patrol and primetime teleseryes from the community TV, the only form of entertainment for the residents. Despite his timid ways acquired from his rural origins and strict Christian upbringing, Ejay is courageous and determined, ready to take on anything just to free his family from the poverty that ruined his parents's marriage. He dreams big for his family that even if he is granted one wish, he’d not ask for fame but for his family to be together again. He is hopeful that Pinoy Big Brother is the first big step to realizing this dream.

PBB Niña:

Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Nina used to spend money like there's no tomorrow, until her grandfather died that is. Nina's mom was adopted but she was her granddad's favorite daughter, so she also became his favorite granddaughter. Her lolo's real family resented it and deprived Nina's mother of her share of the inheritance. "It's really unfair because my mom really worked hard for them."

She witnessed how poorly her dad treated her mom while she was growing up. "She's a battered wife. Para kaming nasa action movie, where in e-escape kami then hahabulin niya kami. Tatakbo nanaman kami then magtatago." Her parents are now separated. Her dad is living with another woman and she has a half sister on her mother's side. "My relationship with my family is kinda err…complicated." Nina admits to the dysfunctionality of her family life. "I would always fight with my mom. Sometimes I even scream at her. But she always forgives me. I hate my dad because he always counts what he gives us. He's manunumbat, he's really annoying and feeling niya ang taas taas niya." Nina relates sadly. "I really want to help my mom out, one of the reasons I joined Pinoy Big Brother."

Nina has also worked before as a model for clothes and became anorexic. But after noticing her looks becoming miserable instead of glamorous, she started eating again. She sees herself now as a bit fat though and says she needs to lose weight. She has had her heart broken thrice but believes her true love is just out there. There's a lot more of Nina that even she can't count everything on her two hands. She's a self confessed bratinella. But is best friends with God and Mama Mary. She can cook. She can clean. Though she rarely puts those skills to use. She doesn't eat insects. She doesn't know things like isaw and betamax. She only knows that fishballs tastes 'masarap'. And don't forget the one thing she knows best - how to party.

PBB Bam:

Bam would be the perfect description of an optimist. He likes to be jolly almost to the point that people sometimes find his being too cheerful, peculiar. On occasions when he's supposed to be sad, Bam opts to just laugh about the problem or find the lighter side of it. He's not too fond of being melodramatic. He instead chooses to make other people smile. "Pagnalulungkot po ako, gusto ko na nagpapatawa. Kasi po pag may nakita akong nakangiti ng dahil sa akin nababawasan po ang mabigat sa loob ko."

The younger brother of actress Dimples Romana, he too was very much affected by the passing of their father, for their eldest sister Pebbles already died of cancer a few years back. Bam, who was also the last to see his father alive, really felt the pain of the loss for he considered his dad his best friend and confidant. He believes that that was his turning point to maturity. He became stronger and took over most of his father's responsibility over the family. "Sobrang 360 degrees ang binago ng buhay ko."

After Dimples got married, Bam exerted more effort to find ways of earning extra money so he and his family would not be too dependent on his eldest sister. Joining Pinoy Big Brother was one of his solutions. Another answer to his family's financial difficulties was helping his mother buy fish at the Coastal Mall every Sunday and selling it to their neighbors. He also makes fish deliveries. A class valedictorian from elementary to high school, Bam now considers his mom his new best friend. Though he would have chosen to take Political Science (imagine the debates he could have had), Bam opted to follow his mother's advice and took up Nursing.

Probably the most cheerful among the 12 teen Housemates, Bam wants to be able to spread happiness to other people. He has an aim of making at least a person laugh once a day.

PBB: Olyn

The only rose among the thorns, Olyn has to bear 4 overprotective older brothers. “Mahirap maging only girl. Lahat ng kilos mo pinapansin nila,” She even had to go to the same school her youngest brother goes to for her parents wanted her to have a ‘tagabantay’. Yet despite all that ‘body guards’, Olyn has already gone to Boracay unsupervised. “Nag 2-piece bikini pa nga ako. Yung parang ginantsilyo. Then nag-miniskirt…tinupi ko pa!” she shamelessly admitted. Olyn is guilty of loving fashion, being a gimikera and being maarte. She has had five ex-boyfriends. Her dad even caught her with one of her exes and spanked her like a kid, right on the butt. This is also the reason why she broke up with that guy. She is 16 and admits to have been kissed but never been touched. She doesn’t want a serious relationship at the moment for she believes she is still young for that. Olyn’ sums up her personality as someone ‘maarte pero hindi malandi’.

Olyn’s family owns a funeral parlor which she humbly says is still small time. The business started out as a ‘karo for rent’ service. Then it started to prosper and her parents eventually added embalming and funeral services. She says she is a bit of a clairvoyant but is very scared of ghosts. She joined Pinoy Big Brother because of her dream to become a teen star. Olyn expressed her willingness to do anything EXCEPT pretend to be someone dead lying inside a casket. For a girl who sees dead people all the time she can’t get over her fear of the supernatural. “Ayoko kasi ng tinatakot.” She promises to do everything that is expected of her inside the Big Brother House, “Huwag lang po yun.”

PBB: Mikki

"No one calls me Michelle." Mikki hates her given name and announcing that she doesn't like it might just be a warning not to call her that. "Michelle for me is very old fashioned. Mikki, I like it, it's unique. And most of the time kung may kapangalan ako madalas guy so walang kaso sa akin." Like her name, Mikki believes that she is a unique individual; she is very proud of who she is. "I decided to audition for Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition because I think I am not like a lot of people. I think you should just do what you want, whatever you like yun ang gawin mo. Don't copy other people kasi para kang pirated niyan."

An aspiring drummer and writer, Mikki remembers being bullied a lot of times in school before. And she tried her hardest to fit in. "When I was in high school I had a barkada, they like to drink, they cut class. They taught me to drink beer for the first time during a lunch break from a lecture where priests were teaching about virtues. When we got back, right in the middle of the talk, I got sick and vomited right in front of the lecturer." Now she knows how to stand up for herself. And her friends also look up to her.

Mikki describes her Chinese family as something straight out of "Mano Po." Her grandfather is what you would call a 'traditional' Chinese for he left his entire business to his sons and left his daughters out of it. He even came to a point where he almost had his daughters' betrothed for the sake of business. But after Mikki caught her dad cheating on her mom with his secretary (something she referred to as a real classic story) her lolo came to the family's rescue and still helps them out to this day. Her mom is studying to be a nurse now and Mikki knows that when graduation day comes, her family's American dreams will soon be realized. "Everything will fall into place and be ok." She sees 'the secretary' now as the source of her inner strength. "Kasi it's just not me na inapakan niya, it's my mom so nagalit talaga ako. It was

PBB: Fred

Give respect, get respect. Those are the words that Fred lives up to. A son of an Air Force officer it is no wonder that he landed the ROTC Commandant spot in his school. Fred is one you would call a Golden Boy - he has good grades, very athletic, an obedient son and popular with the girls. He is such a perfectionist, and he likes doing things right. Fred hates not being in control of himself, the reason why he doesn't smoke, drink or do drugs.

Fred claims that despite his father's military background, he and his siblings were raised in quite a normal household though his parents are real sticklers about time. "We really have to come home on time." He admits too that he might have inherited his being not too demonstrative of his feelings from his dad but they do have heart to heart talks sometimes. Fred is very straight forward and avoids emotional encounters. And he doesn't like being pushed around. He believes that Pinoy Big Brother will give him a better understanding of other people and them of him. "Mataas ang self confidence ko. Yet I know we are all unique individuals inside the House. Sana maintindihan nila kung ano ako kasi irerespeto ko and iintindihin ko din kung ano sila."

PBB: Dred

Dred just graduated from high school at the top of his class. He can never forget the look on his parent’s faces when he stepped on stage to accept his medal. “Mahirap na masaya maging valedictorian. Pero nang makita ko ang tuwa ng parents ko during my graduation bawi lahat ng pagod ko sa pagaaral.” He wants to take up Nursing for the course will surely help him find greener pastures abroad. It would also help his mom, who is earning a living for the family solo. No, his parents aren’t separated. Nor is his father deceased. Aldred’s dad just hasn’t found work for almost three years now.

This disappoints Aldred a lot. “Nakikita kasi niya na may sandalan siya,” referring to his lola, who’s helping out with the family’s finances and his Ate’s college tuition fee. “Madalas yun ang pinagaawayan nila ng mama ko. Mahal ko naman po ang tatay ko. Pero di ko maiwasan na magkaroon ng hinanakit sa kanya.” His mother even told him that his dad was more industrious during his parents’ boyfriend-girlfriend days. “Sabi nga ng nanay ko dati nagda-drive pa ng jeep ang tatay ko para may pang date sila. Pero kung kelan siya nagkapamilya tsaka siya naging tamad.” What depresses him more is that his father is not even a ‘houseband’. He and his siblings are in-charge of all the household chores, the reason why Aldred has champion skills in the kitchen. “Minsan nga nasigawan ko siya ‘Magtrabaho ka naman!’ sa sobrang sama ng loob ko. Sinabihan lang niya ako na ‘wag makialam.”

That’s why Aldred thought of joining Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition. His mom had strived to put all of them in private schooling; His sister is currently studying in a private school, his youngest brother goes to the same private school he came from. Aldred’s chosen course for college might be out of his mom’s meager budget for tuition so if he wins on PBB he can provide for his own schooling plus help out with his sibling’s allowances. “Kung kaya ko po maging breadwinner bakit po hindi? Matagal ko na po gusto tulungan ang mama ko sa mga gastusin. Naisip ko rin na kailangan ko magsikap sa buhay para di maranasan ng future family ko ang naranasan ko.” Dred is raring to go at Big Brother’s challenges. Though he is very eager to encounter tasks ‘na pang-ubos lang ng pasensya’, he hopes there will be no tree climbing, back bending or tumbling involved. “Di ko kakayanin.”

PBB: Jam

Jamilla has fallen from grace more than once yet she has managed to pick herself up and start all over again. She is not embarrassed to admit that she didn’t grow up in a normal family set up. She is not ashamed to say that she was just a 17 year old Nursing student when she got impregnated by her boyfriend of 4 years. And she is also not hiding the fact that she worked as a model and GRO in a girly bar. Because for Jamilla every person has a chance for a new beginning and she believes her time for a new life is now.

Growing up not knowing her Puerto Rican father and having an OFW absentee mother, she and her sister were left in the care of different people. “Lumaki ako sa lola ko dahil sa trabaho ng mommy ko. Tapos sa tita ko. Actually noong unang alis ng mama ko sa kaibigan niya kami iniwan. Naaalala ko pa hanggang ngayon yung itsura ng sister ko, malnourished na. Napabayaan kami. Di siya nagpapadala. Then nakakita ako ng pictures niya sa abroad, nagpapakasaya siya may boyfriend pa siyang kasama.” That’s why Jamilla is closer to her grandma than her real mom. “Mahal na mahal ko ang lola ko. Siya ang takbuhan ko kapag may problema.”

When she got pregnant by her boyfriend though she was very grateful for her mom’s intervention. “Pinaghiwalay niya kami. Nakita niya na tamad at iresponsable yung boyfriend ko. Hindi na nagpakita ulit after kong manganak, ni singkong duling wala siyang itinulong. I realized in the end na tama pala ang mama ko.” Jamilla considers her baby a blessing even though the child had a cleft palate and lip when he was born. Her baby needs 5 operations so she accepted a job as a GRO in a girly bar. “Nagmomodel ako or tine-table. Bawal ka naman lumabas and choice mo din kung sasama ka sa customer.” Tips average from zero to P30,000 a night but the biggest amount she was offered was P100,000. And she accepted this amount once for her child’s first operation. “Isang beses ko tinangap para sa baby ko. Kilala ko na rin kasi yung taong nag-offer nun. Alam kong hindi siya hihingi ng kapalit. Sobrang bait siya. Kaso ayoko ko muna kasi mainvolve sa kahit kanino dahil ang priority ko ay ang anak ko.”

Pinoy Big Brother seem to be the answer to Jamilla’s prayers. “Gusto ko na talaga huminto sa ganitong klaseng trabaho. Sa pagsali ko mabibigyan ako ng chance di lang matulungan ang baby ko, pati na rin yung pangarap ko na maging artista.”

PBB: Matt

The new high school graduate often jokes that he and his siblings are the "United Nations". "Ako po half American, yung sumunod sa akin Filipino, si Mark. Tapos si Akira, Hapon naman." His mom was a former entertainer in Japan, who had her heart broken a few too many times. She finally found a husband and Matt a dad in his stepfather, Mark's father. Matt says he is lucky to have a very supportive stepfather. "Kahit minsan napapagalitan niya ako, nakikita ko sa kanya ang pagaaalala. Di po niya ako sinasaktan. Mabait po siya talaga. Understanding din." But if Matt had a choice he'd like to get to know his biological father too, who last saw him when Matt was just 8 months old. "Feeling ko din hinahanap niya ako eh. Nalulungkot ako kasi nawalan na siya ng connection sa akin. Kahit sumulat man lang. Marami akong gustong itanong sa kanya. Gusto ko siyang mashock dahil yung maliit niyang iniwan malaki na pala." And even though his stepfather treats him like his real son, Matt still longs to be with his American father. "Sabik ako na makita siya at makasama. At alam ko maiintindihan ako ng stepdad ko."

Matt likes to help augment his family's meager income. He's even willing to accept a job of a street sweeper so he can at least pay for their electricity bill. His Tito Joey even helps him find odd jobs here and there. His stepfather has a job and his mom accepts laundry from the boarders who rent a room inside their house. But he wants the family to live in comfort and have a steadier source of income. Though he wants to go to college his priority at the moment is finding work. "Kung kikita ako ng malaki, ako na ang magbibigay ng baon sa mga kapatid ko."

Matt and his friends have a ska/reggae band called "Cherokee". He's currently the vocalist and they play in bars and productions around town. Matt, together with his friends, has already composed 4 songs that they play during their gigs. The dude admits he has been in a dance group too, way back then. He confessed that he joined PBB to enhance his character and find what he wants in life. Despite his rebel looks, Matt is the most scared of encountering war freaks. He shuns conflicts. Matt's also afraid of heights.

PBB: Clare

The Bukidnon lass found out early in her beauty pageant life that you cannot please everybody. "Naniniwala po akong friendly ako. Pero yung iba nami-misinterpret nila ayaw nila sa akin kasi sinasabi nila maarte ako and mahilig mag-make-up." She finds her gay friends the most supporting though. "Sumasali po ako sa beauty contests sa Bukidnon, sa mga search sa iba't ibang munisipyo. Kinukuha nila ako like nung huli kong sinalihan sa Ms. Sugarland sa Maramag. Masaya po ako dahil nanalo naman po ako."

Besides winning beauty titles, Clare says her list of goals includes finishing her studies then helping her siblings finish their own education. "Gusto ko pong matulungan ang pamilya ko." Clare's family lived a luxurious life before her father's loaning business went bankrupt. Her father now works as a janitor at a local hospital and drives a multicab, a mode of transportation in Bukidnon, as his sideline. "Kaya nga po ako sumasali sa beauty contest sa bara-baranggay at munisipyo dito para magka-pera at matulungan ang mama at papa ko. Para kahit minsan ako naman ang bumili ng bigas." Clare reasons out to why she's striving so hard to succeed at her young age. She also states that her stint on Pinoy Big Brother will take her closer to that goal if she wins plus to another dream of hers - becoming a TV actress.

Clare doesn't consider her boyfriend, who works as a fireman in her town as a roadblock to her dreams. In fact he is very much supportive of her ambitions. "Siya pa nga ang nagsasabi na 'Sige. Sumali ka.'" She does not consider her lack of cooking skills a big minus point as a house maker nor PBB contender. "Kaya ko po maglaba at plantsa. Prito po kaya kong lutuin. Matututo din naman ako siguro balang araw."
